Our Instructors are well versed in the many styles of Yoga so our students are able to explore and develop a practice unique to themselves. Each one of our experienced Yoga and Meditation instructors bring their unique perspective to their classes, while also sharing their passion to educate, inspire,
and guide their students throughout their journey in the practice.

Marissa McIntyre

Founder of Yoga del Soul

Since a young age, Marissa had always been drawn to meditation and yoga to help ease anxiety while in search of a deeper purpose. She began her journey by teaching herself through many books. Wanting to gain more knowledge, she embarked on a teacher training. Immediately after receiving her 200 RYT she began teaching, wanting to bring the peace and clarity she felt from her yoga practice to others. A few years later she went on to receive her 500 RYT through Sri Dharma Mitra, her practice and teachings then began to evolve into a deeper more spiritual practice. She is forever grateful to share Sri Dharma Mittra's physical and spiritual teachings with others. "Everything is perfect, that is the beauty of yoga; to bring our consciousness to this level." Heather Ell

Heather was pulled to yoga 12 years ago, when she embarked upon a path of recovery from addiction, disordered eating, and anxiety and depression. She fell in love with how the yoga practice takes her on a journey back to loving herself through movement, breathwork, mantra and meditation. She completed her RYT-200 in 2015 with Joell Lanfrank and Erin Peluso, and has been studying Kundalini yoga since 2018. She teaches from the conviction that the yoga system is profoundly therapeutic and nourishing to the mind, body, and soul. Her offerings play with harmonizing strength and surrender, tapping into the divine within, and realizing that every step on our path is useful to realizing who we truly are.

Susan Shafer

Susan is a 500HR certified yoga instructor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Certified EFT Practitioner. Her yoga journey began in 2008, initially as a way to cope with an injury, quickly transformed into a profound source of calm for her active mind and a tool for managing stress.

In her teaching, Susan embraces a variety of yoga styles, believing wholeheartedly that there is a form of yoga for every body. She creates a nurturing environment where individuals can learn, grow, and explore their practice. Her intention is to guide others toward deeper connections with inner peace, joy, and self-acceptance, both on and off the mat.

 

Julie Waters

Julie discovered the life changing practice of Yoga over a dozen years ago and has been following the connection of breath to movement ever since. She holds her 200 RYT as well as Advanced Training Certifications in Restorative Yoga, and is a Certified Reiki Level 2 practitioner. A longtime student, she has found the practice to be instrumental in recovery from emotional and physical trauma as well as reveal a deeper understanding of our true selves. Julie teaches the principles of yoga through pranayama, meditation and asana and incorporating these mindful practices into a balanced and joyful life both on and off the mat.

 

Jessica Nelms

Jessica found her love of yoga thru the passing of a friend. She became intrigued as to why she loved Yoga so much. Thus began her journey. 

Jessica began practicing yoga seven years ago and began to realize how much it helped her through her anxiety and dealing with so much loss in her life. She has completed her 200 hr yoga teacher training and is hoping to be able to give back and help people find peace and calm within themselves.

Jessica believes we already have all we need.

Elisa Waller

Elisa began her yoga journey in a place of not knowing but also in a place to find her creative self. She’s interested in health, wellness and art as a way to heal and enhance the mind, body connection. As an experienced art teacher, Elisa sees sacred value in art and uses her knowledge of yoga to help learn to see beyond the surface of things, to tap into our creativity to honor our need for self-expression without fear. After experiencing yoga classes at the local gym, she felt inspired. She obtained her RYT200 in 2014, which led her to interest in trauma informed yoga. She is also a licensed massage therapist. Her yoga classes bring the practitioner to gently unfold creative potential with gentle poses that can reach the deep crevices of our physical and mental being. All our welcome to come stretch the body and mind.

Pamela McKnight

Health and wellness has always been a huge part of Pam's life. However after the discovery of yoga, she knew she'd found something magical. The physical and emotional bliss after each class could not be replicated in any other "exercise" class. Pam decided to explore this "exercise" and deepen her own yoga practice, Along the way fell in love with the practice of yoga.. Yoga has provided a foundation for Pam to approach life in a positive, balanced and healthy way, "yoga is my rock". . In 2013 she made the decision to pursue her first yoga instructor certification in order to share the gift of yoga through teaching. Everyone can benefit from the healing powers of yoga. Yoga is medicine. She believes that yoga teaches us that everything we have ever needed or will ever need is already within us

Amy Adams

For Amy, yoga is a connection of body, mind and spirit which brings an inner peace and connectedness to all. Amy enjoys the quiet moments of life and comes from a space of continual learning and educating to become a better person for this world. She embarked on a life changing experience and completed 2- RYT 200 hour trainings, that profoundly impacted her entire life.  Yoga is creating a greater connection to your true self through meditation, breathwork and physical movement. From this experience, she sees the world through a new lens and feels a sense of spiritual peace and calm. She believes each person needs to be met where they are, accepts them for who they are and hopes to illuminate the beauty within each individual through yoga.  

 

Christina Zaccaro

Christina first came to yoga to improve inner peace and overall health in 2012. From the start she was surrounded by very devoted and dearly cherished teachers to help kick start her love for the practice. She pursued a 200hr Vinyasa Training with Younique Yoga to help deepen her knowledge and understanding. A few years into teaching she ventured to Agonda, India to study a 300hr with Sudhir Rishi at Sampoorna Yoga School. In her classes, Christina focuses primarily on mindful breathing techniques, vinyasa movements, and meditation, to design a safe and creative learning environment for everyone. “Yoga is the Journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” -The Bhagavad Gita.

 

Michelle Schneider

Michelle started practicing yoga as a complement to traditional fitness training and soon found it to be more than a physical practice. Throughout the years and through many different movement practices including martial arts, she always found herself back to Yoga, and she wishes to introduce more people to yoga through fun, functional classes with great music. Michelle took her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Raji Thron of Yoga Synthesis in 2004, in which the focus was a blend of Iyengar alignment principles and Ashtanga flexibility and strength. Her joy is to share the benefits of practice and looks forward to continuing her education to provide the best experience for others in class.

Caroline Cassidy

Caroline is a compassionate yoga teacher who completed her 200 HR YTT at Yoga Del Soul. She has a background in holistic health and nutrition, and is passionate about integrating wellness, ayurveda and spirituality.  
She found yoga in 2016, while on a journey of self-healing to overcome mental and chronic illness, and felt a longing to deepen her practice. Showing up in the yoga space brought her light when life felt dark.  Caroline began to heal both emotionally and physically.
She hopes to cultivate a safe space for inclusivity and healing, welcoming all students to join her on a journey of wellness and self-discovery on and beyond the mat. Caroline is empowered to share the gift of yoga, in hopes to help others find the same peace it has brought her.

Braja Sundari Radha

Braja is a bhakti yoga practitioner, NJ LMT, owner & operator of Mudita - a healing arts studio. She has been a Jivamukti Yoga teacher since 2013. Braja has participated in trainings in Thailand & India in the pursuit of perfecting her craft.

Jenny Barnes

After the birth of her 2 kids, Jenny was looking for more, peace of mind, a connection with herself, and a new challenge. A friend of hers lent her a. Yoga mat and told her to try a yoga class. She took her advice and uncovered things about herself that she never knew existed. She found her home.

Mary Schlinger

Mary first fell in love with yoga a few years ago. She was fortunate to have Marissa as a teacher and was inspired to take a 200hr YTT. She wanted to deepen her knowledge of yoga and all it has to offer, and share what she has learned with others. She is grateful and honored to have had Marissa and Brie as her teachers to guide her through this experience that was life changing. “Yoga is the bond between body, mind and breath. Moving through postures while connecting our minds and focusing on the inhaling and exhaling of our breath, helps create a calming environment in and around us.”

 

Jessica Harnett

In 2018, Jessica, seeking peace and calm, was led down a spiritual path where she first discovered yoga, and later Pilates. Grateful for  and touched by the  mental, emotional and physical healing provided by both, she embarked on a  200HR Yoga Teacher Training program at Yoga del Soul and became a  300+ HR Pilates instructor, comprehensively trained on all equipment. Her profound and moving experience makes her eager to share  the powerful and joyous gifts of Yoga and Pilates with all.

 

Stewart Steinberg

Stewart believes that being a yoga instructor is a way to channel positivity and share the peace and connection yoga provides.
His journey on the mat allows him to discover not just physical strength but emotional healing as well. After losing his beloved wife who found so much joy and peace in yoga, Stewart felt a deep calling to honor her memory and found Yoga del Soul. His wife's passion for the practice motivated him to becoming a yoga instructor. Now, through teaching yoga, Stewart's hope is to spread the love and light his wife embodied, keeping her spirit alive in his practice, while helping others navigate their own struggles.

 

Brooke Scarcella

Brooke’s yoga practice fully embraces cultivating a deeper sense of connection to the self. For her, yoga is a sacred spiritual experience that seeks to bring us more inward. Taking the leap & completing her 200 hour certification after leaving behind corporate life and modern schooling, Brooke recognized the deep call and desire to be a guide for others. She found the sanction in honoring and nourishing the mind, body, soul, and spirit through furthering her own practice and devoting her teaching to helping others feel into the powerful, magical space that is created through asana, breath, chanting, meditation, community, and the multifaceted nature of yoga in its entirety

 

Amanda Gargiulo

Anxiety is what brought Amanda back to her mat in 2017 and she never looked back. A strong desire to share the life changing benefits of the practice with as many people as possible led to her acquiring her 200hr certification. She is also an On-Camera Host, Certified Nutrition Coach and recently completed Yoga for Cancer through MSKCC. She hopes students leave her classes invigorated and inspired to step out of their comfort zone, knowing they already have everything they need within them to create the life they wish to see. Amanda cannot wait to see you on the mat.
